Period/Shower Scene Test

I did a quick test of the period scene to see if it would work as I envisage it.
I just filmed it in slo-mo on my phone so it's not great quality and it's quite dark but it woks to see the general idea.

The idea for the scene is to do a POV shot of feet like this in the shower, then to do a few drips of blood between the feet, then to do a slow-mo gush of blood.

For blood in this I just used diluted Ribena, but I think to get the thick, dark consistency of real blood I poured a bit of straight Ribena in the sink and it looked quite realistic (It is slightly too red to pass as real blood but that wouldn't be a bad thing because the whole scene is a play or how ridiculous periods are made out to be). We can use this as an option, but our production designer also knows how to make realistic fake blood that is drain-safe.

In terms of the logistics of filming, my shower has a large gap between the walls of the shower and the ceiling which we can easily put the camera through, to be far away from any water.
We will also have to have the shower on cold/lukewarm to avoid steam.
